my freehand Spongebob cake

I did this cake last week. Funny. Looks like a drunk Spongebob with a lazy eye.

A Christmas Card from the Marlins??? Holy Crap!

The Marlins know our address! Can you believe that? It was hand written and it said inside that they were looking forward to watching Gavin play in the spring. Can you believe that?
Holy crap Batman!

This is a very exciting time for Gavin. All he has worked so hard for is coming to him.

Gavin worked out with the Yankees on Wednesday. He did very well there.
He's got lots of pro teams interested in him. It's starting not to even intimidate him.
They are all asking him what he's going to need to sign and if he has an agent. Weird, really weird.

Gavin signed with University of Kentucky ((Wildcats))!

Regan's Perfect Game Showcase. Looks like a bag of human M&M's! Regan is yellow #19 you can see his back!
Pretty huh? The plant died and then we watered it hoping it would revive and it is even prettier with the dead parts under the bright living parts : )
Another one I did.
another cake that I decorated : ) It's so fun to do.

Pretty plant on my back porch : )
here is my Pokemon cake. The image is an edible image. I didn't paint that : )
I have been decorating cakes again at Maggiemoo's and I painted this Twilight cake with the air brush.

I have a beautiful little foal. He's a nice baby. I think I will name him Thrillerific because his father's name is Misterrific and since Michael Jackson died this year I think Thriller would be cute for him. What do you think?
I went to KY to check on my horse and her baby.
I found my mare in very poor condition. She's half starved. Look at her ribs. Look at her thin neck. Her tail bone was sticking out. I am just disturbed.
She has never ever looked like this.
I had a guy in KY taking care of her.
I know the guy didn't mean for this to happen but he obviously didn't check on her. He took her to a neighbor's pasture to let her eat down the grass but something happened there. I don't know what? Maybe no water? The baby looks great but my mare has been nursing this big baby with not enough food! I am bringing her home to nurse her back to health. Very sad for my baby.
I am very sad. Heartbroken really.
Splashing it up!!!
Silly Regan, tricks are for kids!
Look what my kids have done to the hot tub! That's Regan and Trevor along with cousins Tony and Ana.

Here is a pic of the Minneapolis bridge the day it fell. Right now, I can look out my window and see the bridge (the new one). My hotel is the Holiday Inn you can see in this photo in the right top. We are on the top floor. When I looked out our window, I wondered where that bridge that fell would be and on google earth I could tell it was the one directly out my window.
Unbelievable! My hotel would be in the middle top of this photo if it were a little bigger photo.

Here is a picture I just took looking out over the bridge in Minneapolis that collapsed in '07. They have already fixed it.
It's the freeway on the left.

I'm on my way to MN today. Gavin goes to his most important baseball showcase yet. It's put on by Perfect Game and it is by invitation only and it's only for the top 200 high school players in the country. Lots of scouts will be seeing him there. Hope he does well and shows them what he can do : ) It's been rather nice to have Gavin back home. He has really matured. He'll kill me if he finds out that I posted his picture : ) His friend he played baseball with this year just went in the second round in the draft to the Yankees! This kid batted 3rd all year and Gavin batted 4th. Their baseball team finished out the 6th best HS baseball team in the nation 2009 season. YooHoo!
I'm getting a new car and here it is! It's a Toyota FJ! Cool huh!
JUST KIDDING!!!
This is the one we are really getting. I will have to go down to AL to pick it up. I am so excited to finally have a new car to drive.
My Denalli had well over 150,000 miles...plus 4 boys grew up in that Denalli.
It was hard to find this interior but we found this one used in AL. I have not had a new car in 6 yearzzz!

Here is Della's first foal, Mia, born in 2005. She is pictured here as a yearling almost 2.
She turned out medium light palomino. Below is a picture of her just a week old. She was born peach color. Will my new foal turn dark palomino starting out as a sorrel?
He's molting to yellow around his nose and eyes.

Friday, June 5, 2009. Born May 18, 2009
Here are those knees. How bad is he over at the knee? IDK : (
Nice hip!
This is my baby...no name yet. His color is changing! Has anyone had a foal born sorrel that turned palomino? His nose and around his eyes are yellow as the baby hair has gone and the big boy hair has come.

My first baby. The most friendly baby ever. He would let anybody hold him and would cuddle on their shoulder with his blanket.
People loved that. He was always very observant of anything odd. This made it hard to take him out where "odd" people may be seen. I was often embarrassed by his honest comments. He was very active and very head strong and very inquisitive.
In nursery school he did not want to sit at story time because there were other things in the room to discover and he could only sit for a minute or two.
One day when Nick was about 4, he went to our neighbors who often sat out front on their porch smoking cigarettes and said, "if you don't stop smoking you might die in the afternoon..." Then he told them that they should pick up the cigarette butts that they had thrown over the edge of their porch.
The neighbor told me what he had told her and she (luckily) thought it was funny. He is funny. Very witty and still very observant. He has a very good and kind heart. He cares deeply for the underdog.
Look at that beautiful face. Wow. Gavin was such a sweet baby. Just a perfect good baby.
Happy most of the time. Very early on he was very active and interested in sports that had balls. One day when he was about 15 months old, he took my hand and led me to the closet that was shut and urged me to open the door. I did it in order to see what he wanted. It was dad's basketball. I didn't even know it was up there. Gavin did. I got it down for him and for him it was HUGE. He carried it into our small kitchen because it had hard floors. He bounced it a couple of times and then tried to dribble it. Mind you he is 15 month old! He did it over and over and over. I didn't even know he'd seen anybody dribbling a basketball, but obviously he had!
The boy was always throwing things and I knew it would eventually translate into a good sportsman. His first word was "ball". He also loved animals very much early on. He was always a very compassionate little boy.
My baby Regan. My most serious child. He was very thoughtful, wise, and  selfless. Hated his car seat. Not my most patient child. He was my most whiny and easily upset boy.  I used to call him my "Eeyore" because he could be a little pessimistic.
One day we were out and about. He hated to go anywhere in the car and he hated shopping with me.
I told him that I needed to get a few things at Sam's Club. He started in with the whining and about in tears. I tried to let him know it would not take long but he continued to whine. I decided to try bribery and so I said, "Regan, if you will come in and not cry and be a good boy, I will buy you an ice cream cone on our way out." I saw the sadness leave his face for a fleeting moment but then it was back and he said in his sad voice, "It will probably just melt..."
Oh what a cute baby.
Here is my little Trevor.
What a CUTE baby.
Such a good baby and always so patient. He hardly ever cried and was a very content child.
When he was 3 we were driving home from visiting a branch in our stake. We were on the interstate and David went to the side a little and the ribs in the road to warn people on the side were loud when he drove over them. Trevor said, "Do it again dad!" So dad did it again. Trevor said, "Do it again dad!" So dad did it again and this went on about 4 or 5 times. Then dad said, "This is the last time." So, he did it the last time and Trevor said, "Do it again dad!" Dad told him that he wasn't doing it anymore. Trevor asked a couple more times getting the same answer from dad. Finally, Trevor said, "I'm gonna tell you a baby." and then asked one more time for dad to do it again. Dad answered the same again. Trevor said, "Okay fine, you're a baby..."
In his world, he would do about anything to avoid being labeled "a baby" and thought it would work for dad! He looked confused when we broke out in laughing because he had just leashed out the ultimate insult.
Sadly, this baby was born with "buck knees".
Hopefully he will grow out of it as some do.
It's only sad because it looks bad. It doesn't affect their abilities to perform like a normal horse.
This is my new baby boy. Born 5/18/09. He's just a day old here.
I haven't named him yet. That will be coming soon : )
